A somewhat sentimental press conference after KVO - KV Mechelen, because for Kevin Vandendriessche and Fashion Sakala it was the last home game before they respectively leave for KV Kortrijk and Rangers.

Fashion Jr. Sakala and Kevin Vandendriessche played for the last time today in the sea air and on the familiar Oostende turf. Former teammate and good friend Franck Berrier surprised Vandendriessche with a nice farewell gift after six seasons with KVO.

Our players donate € 3,000 from the players pot to Ibrahima and his family. The U15 player lost his two brothers in a house fire in Laken two weeks ago and on top of that all their equipment went up in flames.

I'm never the first to comment on the arbitration, but every 50/50 decision was against us. Add to that the unjustified red card, and it's a bit much. We played a strong first half and it's a pity to go down like that.

Before the match against Gent a number of players were honoured. Sakala played his hundredth game for KVO, while Hjulsager received the Puis/Verbiest trophy as most deserving player.
