JPL - GAME DAY 5: KVO-STVV 0-1

In a sunny DIAZ Arena we received Sint-Truiden on Saturday afternoon. Dewaele, Katelaris and Albanese made their appearance in the base at the expense of Rocha, Medley and Ndicka.

After about ten minutes Albanese tested the visiting goalkeeper, but he had little problem clamping the ball. A few minutes later, Leistner scored the 0-1 after a rehearsed corner kick that the Ostend defense and goalkeeper misjudged. The rest of the first half saw a lot of cards, but no real goalscoring opportunities, apart from a good shot by Ambrose.

The second half started with a change along the side of KV Oostende. Rocha came on to replace the yellow-carded Amade. KV Oostende got more in the game, but it was STVV that was dangerous for the first time with a shot across the goal. A triple change gave the game some more impetus and KVO started to create power play, but there were no real chances. McGeehan headed wide and there was also an appeal for a penalty kick but it brought no solace. STVV was not embarrassed anymore and thus booked a 0-1 victory. The Jugglers climb to the same level as KVO, next week we go to OH Leuven.
