KWS OUDENBURG - KV OOSTENDE 0-12

The Coastal Boys won their first practice game in tropical conditions with generous 0-12 marks of a brave but powerless Oudenburg.
For the first practice game against the neighbors from Oudenburg, Vanderhaeghe could not yet count on Berte, Stiers and Dewaele. Because of administrative reasons, the returned mercenaries were not yet eligible to play. Because of a shoulder injury, goalie Hubert remained on the sidelines as a precaution.
Vanderhaeghe fielded 2 teams that were each very good at shooting. The first half ended with a 0-6 lead.
In the second half, the score deepened to a pre-war 0-12. The most beautiful goal came in the name of Albanese who painted the ball into the crossroads in unparalleled fashion in the closing stages.
