PRACTICE MATCH KVO - SVZW 5-3

At 1 pm this afternoon, yet another practice match was scheduled. The Coastal Boys received Zulte Waregem at home. For both teams the season is already over for a few weeks.

The home team started the game well with a good chance for Ambrose, but his attempt went just wide. On the quarter hour mark Zulte Waregem came up for the first time. But Jelle Vossen could not find the way to goal either. Two minutes later the visitors succeeded. A corner kick got stuck in front of goal and was kicked in at the far corner. Just under fifteen minutes later the visitors doubled their lead. This time it was Gano who pushed the ball past Hubert. KV Oostende seemed upset, but nothing was further from the truth. The Kustboys were alert and punished fumbles in the Waregem defence mercilessly. Albanese scored the tying goal. Less than two minutes later the equalizer followed. This time it was Ambrose who could shoot the ball into the goal. Another three minutes later Ostend actually took the lead. A wonderful attack was again finished off by Ambrose. KV Oostende pushed on and created a few more chances, but it was Zulte Waregem who scored. Ciranni with the 3-3 just before half time. It was also the final score of the first half.

KVO came out of the dressing room very strong and immediately Rocha could score a goal in the 48th minute.ste minute. After a few goal chances for Oostende for Rocha and Wilkims again it was Zulte Waregem who came up dangerously. The attack was wrongly stopped and Dompé prepared to drop a cross into the sixteen, Wyns was alert to defend and was able to clear the ball. After some back and forth play on both sides, it was time for some substitutions. Three pledges were allowed to enter the field and were razor sharp to decide this match. After a full minute, the newly arrived Musayev was able to outsmart Bossut with his first shot and put the 5-3 into the net. The ball came to his feet after an attempt by Atanga on the post.

After that Badu had a great save in the house eye to eye with Dion Cools. It was still KVO who were able to force the pace and after some nice attacks, there was again a ball on the post from our speedy Wilkims. Less than a few minutes later, Wilkims was again sent into the alley by a clever deep pass from Koziello, but was narrowly whistled off for offside. Five minutes before the end of the game we registered another goal attempt for KV Oostende. After some confusion in front of the sixteen meter, Patoulidis was able to score. His attempt was too central to make it difficult for Bossut. The last event of the match came from Dion Cools. He kicked a free kick with his right just over the goal.

Yves Vanderhaeghe's boys stepped off the field with a smile in this manner and booked a goal-rich victory against Zulte Waregem. Our boys showed good soccer at times. On top of that, coach Vanderhaeghe saw some eager youngsters play well.
