TRAINING MATCH: KV OOSTENDE - ZULTE WAREGEM 3 - 1

After the win against Deinze, the Coastal Boys win over series rival Zulte Waregem.
The Coastal Boys started the game energetically with a shot by Ambrose into the hands of Bostyn. Nice combination soccer was followed by chances for Ambrose, Bätzner and the quick-witted Sakamoto. The deserved goal came just before the half-hour mark when the industrious Sakamoto ravaged the fists of goalkeeper Bostyn. The rebound was kicked in across the face of the net by our Cypriot acquisition Katelaris (1-0).. The young Wylin was isolated in front of goal by Sakamoto but Bostyn saved in extremis. Just before the break, Ndicka had the perfect chance to double the score but he tapped Ambrose's cross just over.
After halftime, Sakamoto, Ambrose and Bätzner remained in the locker room for Biron, Patoulidis and D'Haese. Although Zulte Waregem started the second half more eagerly, they immediately scored a second goal. Bostyn was unable to get a shot off and Biron had to tap it in (2-0).. Leye's team did try but had to stay attentive to the dangerous counter-punching from the Coastal Boys. After a quick switch between Biron and Patoulidis, Biron was offered the goal on a platter (3-0). Just before the third goal, Braem found an excellent Hubert in his way and Vigen shot into the side netting from a tight angle. At the other end Biron headed a hard cross from De Schepper just over the bar. In the absolute end of the game, Demuynck saved the proverbial honor by kicking a free kick past a bewildered Hubert (3-1).
A satisfying win against a teammate in the series where once again the way to the nets was easily found.
