PRODUCTIVE INTERNATIONAL PERIOD FOR KVO PLAYERS

This international period we delivered three internationals: Kjell Scherpen, Thierry Ambrose and Kenny Rocha Santos. How they did, you'll find out in this article!

Kjell Scherpen

Scherpen had to play two European Championship qualification matches with the Dutch Junior team. He was allowed to start in both matches.

The first match against Bulgaria ended in a costly loss of points for the Dutch. The Dutch are still in full battle for group win. The winner of the group gets a direct ticket to the European Championship. The Dutch played below their level and had to thank a good goalkeeper Scherpen when he made a few smart saves in the final phase.

The second match for the Dutch Junior Team was an important one against Switzerland. Because the previous match ended 0-0, they had to take the three points against Switzerland. It was a first half with few chances. In the second half, the Dutch Team tried to increase the pressure, with success: the game ended 2-0. So two clean sheets for Scherpen!

Thierry Ambrose

Thierry Ambrose was called up for the first time ever for Guadeloupe. He played against Rocha Santos' Cape Verde and against Martinique.

The first match between Guadeloupe and Cape Verde ended 0-2. Ambrose played the entire match.

The last practice game was a match against Martinique. Ambrose was allowed to start again and thanked the coach with a goal. It became a spectacular game with no less than seven goals. The match ended 4-3 for Martinique, unfortunately no win for Ambrose.

Kenny Rocha Santos

Rocha Santos was allowed to play three practice matches with Cape Verde. The first match was against the Guadeloupe of Ambrose. Cape Verde won this match 0-2. Kenny Rocha Santos was allowed to play half an hour.

The second match on the schedule for Cape Verde was against Liechtenstein. It turned out to be a whopping 0-6 for Cape Verde. Rocha Santos played the entire match.

The last game for Kenny was against San Marino. He was allowed to start again and scored after only 18 minutes. It became 0-2 for Cape Verde.

Kenny Rocha is suspended for Saturday's game against Seraing, though.
