After an inferior second half, the coast boys lose without a chance against the Great Old.

Priske started an offensive Antwerp with the strikers Frey and Samatta scoring the goals. Bataille was given a place on the bench, while Verstraete was substituted. Koziello got his first starting spot for the Coastboys, while Gueye was substituted in the forward position.
After barely 5′ the injured Nainggolan had to be substituted by Yusuf. After a long study round, the home team threatened for the first time with a blocked shot by Samatta. The next chance was again for the home side but Fischer headed over. Shortly before the half hour mark De Laet headed a free kick by Fischer into Hubert's gripping hands. At the other end Butez had no problems with a long-distance kick from Gueye. Antwerp's French goalie saved a Rocha effort in the final moments of the first half.
The home side started the second half brightly with efforts from Fischer and Frey, with Hubert intervening time and again. The next chance was a success when Samatta found Fischer. The Danish winger had to tap in the second zone (1-0).. Hubert had a brilliant save on a shot by Verstraete. The resulting corner kick was headed past Hubert by Frey (2-0).. The home team had no mercy on the visitors and pressed on. First Samatta had a goal ruled out for offside but the next chance was a winner. Benson was allowed to go in the direction of Hubert who left the Ostend goalie chanceless (3-0).. In the closing stages Hubert made sure that the Antwerp pocket striker could not score again.
