Preview:

For the first time in 2022, the Coastal Boys travel to the Ghelamco Arena. There, KV Oostende plays its second game of the new year against KAA Gent.
After the 1-2 loss against Antwerp, the Coastal Boys hope to respond with a win. But also the Buffaloes want to show a reaction after the poor performance against the Carolos. In Charleroi, the glasses score remained on the board after ninety minutes after a saltless game. Gent has a busy second half of the season on the calendar. In the league, Ghent is currently in fifth place, six points behind fourth place. But the Buffaloes are also still in the Croky Cup, where they are in the semi-finals. Next week, the blue and white team will play the first of two confrontations against Club Brugge. Furthermore, it is the only Belgian club that succeeded in winning the European Winter. They won the group phase in the Conference League and can therefore prepare for the knockout phase.

The outgoing game was ended victoriously by KVO thanks to a goal from Makhtar Gueye. Last year the Buffaloes won at home against KV Oostende with 2-1. Goals then came from Yaremchuk and Godeau, for the away team Hjulsager scored. The latter traded the coastal team for the East Flemish provincial capital last summer.
