Preview:

After the postponed game against Zulte Waregem, our Coastal Boys will now play a home game against Royal Antwerp FC. For KV Oostende, it will be the first match in the new year and the first without Alexander Blessin at the helm. Last weekend they did win a practice match against RWD Molenbeek at De Schorre with 2-0. For the KVO-troops it was a good preparation for the confrontation with the Antwerp players, who won convincingly last weekend with 3-0 against a lethargic Charleroi. Two goals came from Frey, the last from Samatta. The Carolos did get a few chances but time and again they came up against an excellent Butez. Brian Priske and his team spent their winter training in Portimão, Portugal.
For KVO, it will be a nice reunion with the Austrians Verstraete and Bataille. The team from Deurne-Noord is currently third in the standings, seven points behind the proud leader Union. Our Coastal Boys are fifteenth, with 23 points. Last season it was 1-1 in the Diaz Arena, after goals from Anton Tanghe and Lior Refaelov. At the Bosuil last season we even won 1-2 after a late winning goal by Marko Kvasina. In the first round of this year's competition we lost 3-0. Goal scorers then were Fischer, Frey and Benson.
