A concentrated and eager playing Ostend treats Oudenaarde to a basket full of goals
The home team started the game with good intentions but the goal fell on the other side. After a deflected corner kick Osifo tapped in a cross in the first zone past an opportunity-less goalkeeper (0-1). Oudenaarde reacted by sending in Mlngledi M'Pembele, who shot high over from a meter in front of goal. The Coastal Boys struck mercilessly hard on the quarter hour mark. Bätzner curled a free kick from 20 metres into the corner (0-2). The third goal came after a cleverly played combination in which Biron only had to tap in (0-3). Boonen, who came on for Ndicka, kicked over, but Musayev was more successful with a shot in the short corner (0-4). D'Haese tried to do so with a volley but the goalkeeper caught the ground shot. Just past the half hour the injured Osifo had to be substituted by Coninckx. Just before the substitution, the Musayev scored his second goal of the evening (0-5). His third followed rather quickly when Biron offered him the goal on a platter (0-6). Just before the break, Biron himself tapped his second of the evening past a helpless Sören Dutoit (0-7).
Just after halftime, Musayev was again successful with a hard header (0-8). Substitute Berte could not stay behind and popped the ball into the goal after a run via the goalkeeper (0-9). It remained quiet for a while but with 10' to go Boonen slid the 10the Oostend's goal against the ropes (0-10). The final chord was for Boonen, who finished off a nice Ostend attack (0-11). Between the many goals Vanderhaeghe's team combined very well at times.
