WHO WILL BE TRAINING WITH YOU AT THE FIRST PRACTICE?

Monday at 12h the KVO players gather at 'de Schorre' for the first training of the new season. The training itself starts at 14.30, supporters are welcome.

At the first practice session, we welcome one new face for now: West Fleming Sieben Dewaele signed for KVO last season but was still on loan to sister club AS Nancy. On Monday, the midfielder will start his first training at the Schorre. Also returning from loan spells: youth products Mo Berte and Preben Stiers (both played for that other sister club FC Den Bosch), Mickaël Biron (was, like Dewaele, rented out to Nancy) and Marko Kvasina (FC Luzern). The latter secured his retention in Switzerland two weeks ago and will join the group later. Mickaël Biron also joins later because he still played international matches with Martinique, just like Kenny Rocha (Cape Verde) and Thierry Ambrose (Guadeloupe).

There are also some players who are struggling with injuries and will not yet train with the group. As you know, Maxime D'Arpino will be out of action for a long time after his cruciate ligament operation, but Cameron McGeehan and Jordy Schelfhout are also still out. The Englishman had another operation on his ankle and will have to rest for a few weeks, our young goalkeeper had to undergo surgery on his meniscus again and will have to take it easy for another two months. There is good news from youth product Manuel Osifo. He struggled last season with health problems but is now on the way back. He will rejoin the group. For the time being, four promising players are also making the transition to the A-team: Musayev, Govaers, De Schepper and Coninckx.

Following players will sign present at the group training on Monday (26):
Goalkeepers Hubert and Badu; Defenders Tanghe, Capon, Medley, Wylin, Osifo, Duncan, Ndicka, Govaers and De Schepper; Midfielders Koziello, Dewaele, D'Haese, Boonen, Bätzner, Amade, Patoulidis, Sakamoto, Coninckx, Musayev and Albanese; Attackers Gueye, Atanga, Stiers and Berte.

Noteworthy: The addition of four pledges means that no fewer than 12 players received partial or full training in our North Sea Interior Se'Academy.
Rehabilitation: Schelfhout, D'Arpino, McGeehan.
Connect later: Rocha, Ambrose, Kvasina, Biron.
Departed players: Mercenaries Jakel (Leipzig), Fortes (Lens), Scherpen (Brighton) and Urhoghide (Celtic) returned to their clubs of origin.

Gauthier Ganaye: "It is always a specific moment in a club when the players come back. It brings back life and I am looking forward to it. With 26 players, we already have a great selection to start the first week of training. It goes without saying that there will be further movements in the transfer market, both incoming and outgoing, in the coming weeks. Preparation is also always the right time to involve some U21 players in the first team's training sessions. I am sure they will be hungry and I look forward to seeing them make progression."
