WEDNESDAY FIRST TRAINING DAY

From Monday onwards, the holiday for the players is over. The first group is expected at the AZ Sint Jan hospital in Bruges for the annual physical and medical tests. On Tuesday, the second group will be examined by Alexander Blessin and his staff and on Wednesday, the first group will be examined at the Schorre.

The following players are expected at the first field training on WednesdayGoalkeepers Hubert, Badu, Schelfhout and Trautner, defenders Ndicka, D'Haese, Tanghe, Capon, Bataille, Osifo and Jakel, midfielders D'Arpino, Patoulidis, Boonen and McGeehan and strikers Kvasina, Thiam, Gueye and Berte.

Goalkeeper Tobias Trautner is the son of goalkeeper trainer Eberhard Trautner and is training as a test player. Brecht Capon and Indy Boonen have a contract until 30 June and will stay with the group for the time being.

At Arthur Theate, newcomer Kenny Rocha and Nick Batzner it is still a matter of waiting. The first two still played international matches with respectively the Belgian U23 and Cape Verde and the latter underwent a small operation on the foot and gets a few days extra holiday.

Jack Hendry is still active with Scotland at the European Championship but contrary to what appeared in the press, there is still no conclusive agreement on a final transfer of our Scottish defender.

Jack Hendry - here in action against Memphis Depay of the Netherlands - is still playing with Scotland at the European Championships. There is also no agreement yet on his final transfer.

Besides the previously announced departures Vandendriessche (KV Kortrijk), Fashion Sakala (Rangers FC) and Andrew Hjulsager (AA Gent) the contracts of Bram Castro, Francois Marquet and Sindrit Guri not renewed as well as youth players Marvin Dewaele and Jorben Vanhulle. They already found a home at Winkel Sport and KFC Dender respectively. We wish all these players a lot of success in their further career !

The first practice match takes place on Tuesday, June 22 in Koekelare and is part of the 40-year anniversary of the club. On that day it will be exactly 40 years ago that the fusion club KV Oostende was founded. That's why we will be organizing some special actions during this match, more on that later.
