KV Oostende - Mouscron 0 - 0

One week before the start of the new season, the coastboys played a practice gallop against 1B team Mouscron. The home team kept Hubert, who is injured on his hip, on the side as a precaution. The coastboys dominated the game, gave nothing away but were unable to score in front of goal.

The home team started the game with high pressure and the Hainauts had a hard time with it. Hendry and co. had the ball possession and the better combination football, but they had to wait until the half hour mark for chances. First Hendry brought back a visiting striker who had slipped through the offside trap, while on the other side Gueye shot high over from the penalty spot.

Initially we saw the same picture after the break. The visitors were pushed back by the high pressure. Both Gueye and his striker brother Kvasina appeared alone in front of goal, but both attackers were unable to help the visiting goalie. The experienced Mandanda first tapped the ball out of Gueye's feet, while Kvasina kicked the ball far wide in the next phase. On the hour the visitors had their best chance, but Theate was able to get the ball out of the way after a hot spell in front of goal. The nimble Berte headed a Patoulidis corner just wide at the far post and in the last minute Mandanda cleared Berte's superb free kick from the top corner.
