The Kustboys can't recover from the blow just before half time and lose the important home game against Kortrijk by 0-2.
For the important home game against Kortrijk, Blessin made two substitutions compared to the game at Charleroi. Medley and Rocha Santos moved to the bench, while D'Haese and Jäkel got a place in the starting line-up. The visitors started with ex-KVO players Vandendriessche and Palaversa. Jonckheere had to be content with a place on the substitutes' bench.
Coastboys started the game hesitantly with a couple of half chances for the visitors. First a corner kick from Kadri caused panic in the Oostende ranks and then the same Kadri saw his place ball go wide. In the beginning Dewaele got a yellow card when he knocked over the escaping D'Haese. The first real chance was for Amade, but Sainsbury blocked the young German in extremis. The Kortrijkzanen responded almost immediately through Dewaele but Hubert saved the effort from the short corner. Despite a balanced first half the Kustboys went into the break behind as D'Haene beat the chanceless Hubert with an overhead slide (0-1)..
The Kustboys came out of the dressing room with a chance for Jäkel who headed just wide. Ndicka had a chance for the equaliser but it went wide. Just after D'Arpino's forced substitution D'Haese saw his shot go just wide. After the intervention of VAR, the home team got away with a penalty kick but the double for Kortrijk followed almost immediately. Vandendriessche deviated a corner kick past Hubert(0-2).. Despite a lot of good will the Kustboys hardly got any chances and the 3 points went to Kortrijk.
